Tunnel of Love

It is located near the town of Klevan in the Rivne region. It is a 5-kilometer corridor formed by a railroad, trees and bushes. The path is covered with green leaves and branches on all sides. It is in the spring that you can see how nature awakens and becomes a decoration of the man-made arch.

There are several versions about the origin of the romantic location. Some experts believe that it happened back in 1970 when the military built a railroad for their needs. However, to prevent anyone from finding it, they disguised it with shrubs. Over time, the flora grew and made a kind of passage. Later, a freight train began to run along the track every day, knocking down the branches, creating a perfect shape.

What is more interesting is the legend of a Polish man who worked as an engineer. One day he fell in love with a woman from Klevan and built a railroad to shorten the way to his beloved. Unfortunately, the couple broke up, but their love remained forever.

In 2012, Fujifilm made a short video. In it, the characters suddenly fell from a green wall into a tunnel, quickly capturing various wonders around them with a new branded camera.

About 10 years ago, the famous Japanese director Akiyoshi Imazeki was looking for the perfect place to shoot his feature film. One day he came across an unusual location that struck him to the core. Despite the fact that the tourist attraction was located in Ukraine, he not only brought the entire film crew there but also shot his new lyrical drama. He even renamed it Klevani: Ai no Tunnel.

In November 2015, the film was presented at the Hanoi International Film Festival. With his film, the artist revealed the beauty of our nature and showed it to the whole world.

On May 20, 2017, a replica of the famous Ukrainian arch was opened in China, which has become a romantic place for tourists. The ceremony was attended by representatives of Ukraine.

According to a legend, the location was created because of a great love between a Polish lady and a servant boy. Their meetings were kept secret because the girl's father wanted to marry her to a landowner who was better suited to their family's status. That is why the lovers ran away and hid in the swamp. In the morning, the swamp dried up, and there was a small piece of land with willows around which clean, crystal water flowed.
