The media found out when Usyk and Dubois are to fight in a rematch
The unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) may fight the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt holder Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) in mid-fall. The rivals, who have already met in 2023, will be able to determine the absolute king of the division.
This was reported by the British tabloid Daily Mail. According to it, the organizers of the main boxing fights from Saudi Arabia would like to see Usyk and Dubois confront each other at the opening of the Riyadh Season 2025/2026. It is scheduled for the second half of October.
At the same time, Usyk's team assumed that the Ukrainian would return to the ring in August. In turn, Dubois was forced to withdraw from his fight against Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs) on February 22 due to illness. Before that, Daniel defeated his compatriot Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) in September last year.
Usyk himself has already stated that he plans to hold his next fight with Dubois. At the same time, Parker, after defeating Martin Bakole (21-2, 16 KOs), became a mandatory contender for the fight with Oleksandr.
We'd like to remind you that Usyk already fought Dubois in August 2023. Back then, our compatriot won by technical knockout in the ninth round, and the Briton scored a dirty punch below the belt.
Earlier it became known that our compatriot could be deprived of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt. Usyk himself told us when he intends to end his career. Oleksandr also said that he was preparing to hold the most unusual fight of his career.
