The best places for a relaxing winter weekend getaway within 100 km from Kyiv

Vytachiv
The village is located in the Obukhiv district on the right bank of the Dnipro River. It is considered to be one of the oldest settlements of the Poliany principality and Kyivan Rus.
The unique landscapes of Vytachiv have become a real inspiration for artists, photographers and filmmakers. It was here that scenes from the films Babylon XX, Bohdan Zynoviy Khmelnytskyi, Right to Love, and The Guide were filmed.
We recommend visiting the wooden chapel. It was designed by Taras Shevchenko. There is a kind of observation deck on its territory.

Dniprovsko-Teterivskyi National Park National Park
Located in the Vyshhorod district in the north of Kyiv region.
Initially, it served as a hunting ground for high-ranking Soviet party officials. Later, after gaining independence, this place was made available to a particular circle of people.
The area is famous for its rich fauna, where deer, wild boars, roe deer, moose, ducks and hares can be found.
Travelers can take a walk in the picturesque meadows and forests. The territory has equipped recreation areas with tables and fireplaces. You can also go on bike tours, if the weather permits.

Radomyshl Castle
Located in Radomyshl in the Zhytomyr region. The historical and cultural complex was created by doctor and public figure Olha Bohomolets.
It houses the unique Museum of Home Icons, the only one of its kind in Europe. It is based on a collection of sacred images that the owner of the castle began to collect in 1995. The oldest relic is an image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker made of slate stone.

Ethnographic Complex "Ukrainian Village"
Located in the village of Buzova in the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district. It was founded by politician Volodymyr Bondarenko. He built the attraction on the site where an attempt on his life took place.
As a sign of gratitude to God for avoiding death, the public figure founded an Orthodox church in honor of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica. And after the consecration of the wooden church in 2007, he created an open-air museum.
Today it houses a hotel consisting of old huts brought from Polissia. Tourists can also visit the zoo, which is home to ponies, donkeys, deer, and more.

Alexandria Dendrology Park
Located on the banks of the Ros River on the northwestern outskirts of Bila Tserkva. The attraction is considered the largest architecturally designed landscape center in Ukraine. The park covers more than 400 hectares.
It is home to about 2,500 species of trees and plants, including a 300-year-old oak tree. The menagerie is home to foxes, wolves, raccoons, ponies, rabbits, peacocks, ostriches, and more.
There is also a cafe in the park where you can have a snack and a cup of coffee. And for those who want to enjoy the peace and quiet, there are many cozy benches where you can relax or read a book.
