According to the voting results, Philadelphia turned out to be the best city for walking, the Daily Express reports. The most famous institutions are connected by convenient routes.

The central streets stretch from the Delaware River in the east to the western Schuylkill River. This location provides easy navigation for tourists and locals alike, who can easily walk through the best parts of Philadelphia in one hour. Guests of the city have the opportunity to enjoy the sights at their leisure.

"Our walkable streets connect international travelers and conference attendees to a range of hotels, restaurants and attractions, making Philadelphia an outstanding destination for visitors looking for an exciting and affordable travel experience," said Gregg Karen, president and CEO of the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Independence National Historical Park is considered the best place for a walk, with the largest number of historical monuments in the city. Special attention should be paid to the Penns Landing district, where picturesque locations and international restaurants are collected.

Philadelphia was ranked first in the top 10 most walkable cities to visit in the United States. While New York was on the 8th position.
