Joshua speaks out about Usyk

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) admitted that he regrets his hysteria after his defeat by Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) in a rematch. According to the Watford native, he was incredibly upset by the judges' decision to give the victory to the Ukrainian.

Joshua told about it on the BBC TV channel, Sky Sports portal writes. The British boxer called his emotions after the fight on August 20 last year a manifestation of his pride, which was wounded at the time. That is why Anthony threw Usyk's championship belts outside the ring.

"It was an expression of ego and pride. I came back to the heavyweight division - that's what I felt in me. Was it right or wrong? Probably not... I threw the belts because that's what I felt in that moment. Then I grabbed the microphone and addressed the fans. Could I have done it better? Of course I could have," Joshua said.

Earlier, the British former champion revealed sensational details of Usyk's fight against Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). The historic fight is expected to take place next year. The media have announced the date of the confrontation.

Journalists also claimed that the British boxer faces a $240 million lawsuit if he refuses to enter the ring with Usyk on December 23. A video of Oleksandr's reaction to Tyson's knockdown in the third round of his fight with Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs) was posted online.

As OBOZ.UA reported, Oleksandr Usyk did not disclose his tactical plan for the fight with Tyson Fury. In addition, it became known that the Ukrainian is being set up for a fight against the Briton. Also, bookmakers have dramatically changed their quotes for the confrontation.
