"Stupid people. It's my doping": Usyk responds to Fury cheating allegations

Oleksandr ChekanovNews
Usyk spoke about his victory over Fury

Former absolute world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) categorically rejected the accusations that he had unfairly defeated Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). In particular, our compatriot reacted sharply to the conspiracy theory that he used an inhaler after a difficult sixth round in the May 18 fight.

Usyk said this in an interview with the Boxing King Media YouTube channel. According to the Ukrainian boxer, he has never tried to outwit judges or fans by using prohibited techniques or substances, and he also spoke about the hardest punch Fury ever hit him with.

"When Tyson Fury hit me with that uppercut, it was like 'Boom! You've seen in cartoons how a character gets hit in the head and stars start spinning around him. It was just like that. I just had a lot of noise in my head. I told myself I had to move. Between rounds, I asked my coach for a cross. I kissed him, it gave me strength. Stupid people say that he gave me something forbidden. Listen: I have never used any illegal substances. I am clean. God is my dope. My family, team, country. This is my doping. That's enough," Usyk said.

Fury and Usyk will rematch on December 21. We already know the fantastic prize money for the second fight. A few weeks ago, our compatriot gave up the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt and lost the title of absolute world champion.

Later it became known that the IBF left Usyk no choice. This situation angered the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White.

Oleksandr also announced his radical plan to continue his career after the rematch with Tyson. Usyk named the most difficult moment of the fight with the Briton. Our boxer also spoke frankly about his opponent.
