In the Obolon district of Kyiv, the first signs of spring have been spotted. Snowdrops began to bloom near one of the houses.

This was reported on social media. Users do not specifically tell where the flowers grow to preserve them.

"Spring in Obolon and the first snowdrops," the post reads.

The photos posted on the social network show the first harbingers of spring that appeared in the capital.

Snowdrop is a genus of plants in the Amaryllis family, subfamily Amaryllidoideae. It includes about 20 species growing in Europe and western Asia. The flowers appear directly from under the snow in early spring and do not last long.

It is worth adding that in Ukraine, you cannot pick, buy, or sell snowdrops, snowdrops, crocuses, and other primroses. This can result in a fine of 510 to 3,655 UAH. Rare plants are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, in the second half of January, snowdrops have already bloomed in some cities in Ukraine. These Red Data Book flowers were spotted in Odesa and Khmelnytsky region.
