Occupants hit a residential building in Odesa with a drone

On the evening of Wednesday, January 24, Russian occupants attacked Odesa with kamikaze drones, hitting a warehouse. A fire broke out in a high-rise building, injuring six people.

The information was confirmed by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, on his Telegram channel. The Ukrainian Air Force warned about several groups of enemy Shahed from the Black Sea in the direction of Odesa.

Several loud explosions were heard in the city around 21:00 and again around 23:00. The Telegram channel of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine reported that air defense operations were underway in Odesa region, and a fire was reported in residential areas of the city.

The head of the Regional Military Administration later confirmed that there was damage to civilian residential infrastructure.

"A fire has been reported. So far, one victim is known. The resident of Odesa suffered burns. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance," he said in a statement.

Later it became known about another victim of the Russian drone attack on Odesa. The man was hospitalized with multiple cuts. According to Kiper, there is no threat to his life.

As of 22:00, the fire in the house has been extinguished.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs showed the consequences of the occupiers' attack on Odesa.

"A multi-storey building and a warehouse were damaged. Information about the victims is being clarified," the statement said.

Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov clarified that the interfloor ceiling was damaged on the upper floors of the high-rise, and the extent of damage to the supporting structures will be determined by experts.

According to him, one victim was taken to a city hospital with burns and is in moderate condition. The other one was bruised in a fall and received medical care, but refused hospitalization.

On the morning of January 25, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that more than 80 rescuers were simultaneously working at different addresses in Odesa, where the enemy attacked civilian infrastructure.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared the rubble, while psychologists of the service provided assistance to local residents.

The Russian occupiers also attacked a warehouse of a furniture factory in the industrial district of Odesa with Shaheds. In addition, the city recorded the destruction of residential infrastructure due to the fall of debris from drones, ten of which were shot down in Odesa region. Six people were injured in the attack.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on January 17, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Odesa region. Agricultural areas and an agricultural enterprise were hit, but fortunately, neither people nor animals were injured.
