Russian Federation responds to Transnistria's appeal for "help": consultations with Putin to follow
Moscow carefully considers all appeals from the "Congress of Deputies of Transnistria". Earlier, the participants of the event allegedly asked Russia for help.
This was reported by the media of the aggressor country with reference to the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Konstantin Zatulin. According to him, consultations with Vladimir Putin will be held beforehand.
"The appeal, as soon as it is received, will be considered on its merits. I'm not ready to vouch for the State Duma Council, which will certainly discuss everything in this regard and, of course, will do so in consultation with the president and the Russian Foreign Ministry," he said.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed this information.
"Protecting the interests of the residents of Transnistria, our compatriots, is one of our priorities. All requests are always carefully considered by the Russian specialized agencies," the Russian ministry said.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, in unrecognized Transnistria (occupied territory of Moldova), the so-called deputies of all levels held a congress on February 28. Russian propaganda announced that they intended to ask for "help" from Russia, and it turned out to be true.
As a result, the so-called politicians complained about the "economic blockade" by Moldova and approved a declaration asking the Kremlin for help.
On February 22, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Andriy Yusov, stated that the deputies of the unrecognized Transnistria did not plan to address Russian dictator Vladimir Putin at the congress to accept the "republic" into the Russian aggressor state.
