President of the Russian Judo Federation (RJF) Sergei  Soloveychik confirmed the disqualification of Olympic champion Khasan Khalmurzaev for publishing posts in support of Palestine and the consequences of Israeli strikes. The city was attacked on the morning of October 7. The functionary called his organization non-political, but added that "we are all patriotic."

Soloveychik said this in an interview with the Match TV propaganda TV channel. The head of the RJF noted that the organization will decide on the fate of the 29-year-old winner of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro over the next month and a half.

"We will have a presidium within a month and a half. We will make a decision. This is not a special situation, we are all human beings, we all have our emotions, we are all patriotic, and we all have strong faith. Our internal charters say that we are not a political organization and we do not make political statements but are engaged in training to compete with dignity. Such situations happen,"  Soloveychik said.

The day before, it became known that militants of the Palestinian group Hamas shot and killed Israeli rhythmic gymnastics champion Karina Pritika at a music festival.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the famous Israeli football player Lior Asulin was killed in a Hamas terrorist attack. The 43-year-old ex-forward and his friends were celebrating his birthday at a music festival in Re'im kibbutz.
