On Tuesday, January 23, the aggressor country of the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the Kyiv region. Air defense forces repelled the enemy attack, but unfortunately, missile fragments damaged residential buildings, cars, and institutions, and there were injuries.
This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko, the press service reports. Residents of the region were once again urged not to ignore the danger reports.
"The region repelled another massive enemy attack. This morning the region was attacked with missiles. According to preliminary information, there were no hits to residential, civilian or critical infrastructure. We are grateful to our air defense forces for reliably protecting the Ukrainian sky. Unfortunately, there are victims and missile fragments falling in the communities of the region," said Kravchenko.
According to preliminary information, as of 8:30 a.m., three people were injured as a result of the fall of Russian missile fragments. They are currently receiving first aid. In several communities, 3 multi-storey buildings, private houses and outbuildings, 10 cars, a cafe were damaged, and a fire in a parking lot near one of the residential complexes is being extinguished.
"All operational services are working on the ground. More detailed information about the damage and victims will be available later. We are working. We are eliminating the consequences of the attack. Everyone will receive the necessary assistance," Kravchenko summarized.
