Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko is going to participate "in negotiations on Ukraine" and has allegedly already told Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about it. He claimed that negotiations on ending the full-scale war against Ukraine unleashed by Russia cannot take place without Belarus, because they allegedly affect its interests.

According to Lukashenko, if he does not personally attend the negotiations on the war in Ukraine, "half of the country will have to be given to Belarus" later. A fragment of his speech during a meeting with scientists and members of Belarusian Antarctic expeditions on October 17 appeared in the Belarusian propaganda media.

For some unknown reason, Lukashenko decided that he had to take part in the negotiations on the war in Ukraine. He pretended that these talks would address "the issue of Belarus" and hinted that unnamed parties allegedly had plans to "carve off" a part of Belarusian territory.

"I have always insisted and told Ukrainians about it, and I warned Putin that Belarusians should be present at the talks on Ukraine. Why? Because this is our problem. I do not want our issues to be resolved there without us. Yes, they will not take Polissia to Gomel. That's not the point. But they can make such decisions that tomorrow half the country will have to be given away," Lukashenko said.

The partially abstract "they" who, according to Lukashenko, have an appetite for Belarusian territory are Belarusian opposition politicians. Speaking about the "fugitives," as the dictator calls his opponents, he claims that they are allegedly doing everything to prevent Lukashenko from attending the upcoming talks.

"They are now drawing whole schemes... They are doing everything. 'Oh, Lukashenko – no, he shouldn't be there'. They are doing everything at the behest of these crazy fugitives who are sitting abroad to prevent Belarus from resolving the issue. They publicly say: yes, we are like that here – we want democracy. May these Belarusians die along with Lukashenko. They don't need such Belarusians. They need corrupt ones who will surrender their positions and interests everywhere," Lukashenko tried to formulate his opinion somewhat confusingly.

He also couldn't resist praising himself and his "steadfastness" in matters concerning the interests of Belarus.

"This is the single most important task – to keep Belarus, especially Lukashenko, out of the negotiations. Why? Because Lukashenko cannot be broken, cannot be bent, sorry for the immodesty, he will defend his interests. And there should be no Belarusian interests there. We have to live in the future, and we have to survive in this situation," the dictator said.

Earlier, Lukashenko authorized the shooting down of drones on the territory of Belarus, including surface and underwater ones. This is stated in Decree #392 of October 7. The document was adopted to enshrine the right to use physical force, special means, weapons, military and special equipment not only against aircraft models and UAVs but also unmanned aircraft, and unmanned vehicles, including underwater and surface vessels, ground vehicles, and complexes controlled remotely or automatically.

Belarus is a landlocked country, but its territory is lined with navigable rivers about 2,500 kilometers long.
