Promised to be cheaper: the long-awaited Mercedes 2026 was shown in photos

The long-awaited Mercedes GLC EV crossover was shown in new high-quality photos. This is the successor to the Mercedes EQC, which was the first electric crossover of the German brand. The new model was previously promised to be cheaper than its predecessor.

At one time, buyers did not like the Mercedes-Benz EQC model very much, so the new EV from Germany will work on the mistakes and go on sale at a reduced price. The car is being prepared for the premiere in 2026, Autoevolution reports.

The car was built on the new MB.EA platform, which allows working with the most advanced technologies. For this reason, despite the GLC name, the electric car will have nothing to do with a gasoline crossover. However, it will be positioned as an alternative to the model of the same name.

The photo shows a camouflaged prototype. Design details are kept secret, but we can already see important changes. Large rounded headlights and a sleek nose are visible from the front. The silhouette has become more squat.

In general, it seems that the new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV crossover will be more compact than its predecessor. However, due to the use of a new platform, a more spacious interior is expected.
