German Porsche celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic 911 model. To the anniversary the company has prepared a special version of 911 S/T, the circulation of which is limited to 1963 cars.

This is reported by the press service of the manufacturer. In the distant 1963, Porsche first presented the 911 model, which is destined to become a cult among connoisseurs of speed. Since then, 60 years have passed, but even today 911 is the star of the model range of the company from Zuffenhausen.

The name 911 S/T recalls the most powerful version of the first generation 911. Only 1963 lucky drivers will be able to get an exclusive novelty in their collection. The 4-liter opposition atmospheric engine with an output of 386 kW (525 hp) is borrowed from the 911 GT3 RS. It is complemented by a manual 6-speed gearbox with a short ratio. The sports car has also received a very lightweight construction and its own chassis settings for improved maneuverability.

The 911 S/T is the only sports car in the 911 range to combine a double A-arm front axle design and a multi-lever rear axle with no steerable rear axle. The shock absorbers and control systems are tuned accordingly.

A defining goal in the development of every element of the new 911 S/T was weight reduction. The new lightweight clutch was developed by Porsche engineers exclusively for the 911 S/T. Combined with the single-mass flywheel, it reduces the weight of the rotating mass by 10.5 kg. In addition, the hood, roof, front fenders and door are made of lightweight carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP). It is also used for the rear axle's safety cage and transverse stability stabilizer. As standard, the sports car is equipped with magnesium wheels, composite ceramic brakes (PCCB), a lithium-ion starter battery and lightweight glazing. With reduced noise insulation, no rear axle steering and a lighter transmission, the 911 S/T weighs just 1,380 kilograms.

The high-speed 255/35 ZR 20 front tires and 315/30 ZR 21 rear tires provide a high level of grip. The Porsche 911 S/T accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h.

The dashboard and clock from the Sport Chrono package are in Porsche's classic green color scheme. The sports car gets carbon fiber bucket seats as standard, but Sport Plus 4-way seats can be ordered.

The new model can be ordered in the Heritage Design version, which is designed to commemorate the famous Porsche 911 S race cars of the late 1960s and early 1970s. This version has a special Shoreblue Metallic color and wheel rims in Ceramica color. The owner can apply a starting number from 0 to 99 and a decorative film on the door.

The classic Porsche crest from the original 911 adorns the hood, wheel centers, steering wheel, headrests and sports car key. The interior trim can be selected from several exclusive options created by the specialists of the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur division. The Porsche logo and the 911 S/T model on the rear of the car are in gold color.

Also available for sportscar owners is the exclusive Chronograph 1 - 911 S/T chronograph created by the Porsche Design division. It has an uncoated titanium case. The heart of the chronograph is the COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.240 movement with flyback function. It is powered by a rotor styled on the magnesium wheel of the 911 S/T.

The new 911 S/T is available for pre-order. The cost of the novelty starts from 14128025 UAH.
