The German company Porsche has presented the new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid (PHEV). The novelty is able to accelerate to the first "hundred" in 3.7 seconds, and the power of the power unit reaches a record 739 liters.

This was reported by the manufacturer's press service. Porsche is expanding its Cayenne sports crossover lineup. The former top version of the Turbo will be replaced by the Turbo E-Hybrid plug-in hybrid, with a more powerful powertrain and a larger battery.

Compared to the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid version, which had 679 horsepower (500 kW), the new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid has become more powerful by about 10% and is now capable of delivering 739 hp (544 kW) and 950 Nm of torque. The powertrain includes a modernized 4-liter V8 with twin turbines, developing 599 hp. It is paired with an electric motor (176 hp), which is powered by a new 25.9 kWh battery located under the trunk floor. As a result, the new model has become the most powerful Cayenne in its history. The crossover will take only 3.7 seconds to sprint from 0-100 km/h, and its top speed reaches 295 km/h.

In addition, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid comes with a new, more efficient electronically controlled air suspension and the proprietary Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus as standard. A rear wheel steering system is available as an option.

Externally, the new model stands out with its own front end design with larger air intakes and slats in high-gloss black. The wheel arches and lower side panels are painted in the body color. The twin tailpipes have brushed aluminum outlets, and the brake calipers are painted red.

The interior of the new model is decorated with leather and aluminum inserts, and the roof is covered with synthetic Race-Tex fabric. The standard equipment includes a GT Sport steering wheel, which has been supplemented with a driving mode selector. There is a choice of Sport front seats with 18 adjustments or Comfort seats with 14.

The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid in the standard wagon body will cost $148550, while the bullet version will cost at least $153050. The novelty is scheduled to appear at dealers next spring.
