Pixar publishes trailer for Inside Out 2 prequel series: there will be four episodes
The famous Inside Out cartoon continues to expand its universe. This time, a new animated prequel series called Dream Productions will soon premiere on Disney+.
The series will take place before the second movie of the franchise, which broke box office records this year. Fans will be able to see familiar characters in new roles and learn more about how the main character Riley's dreams are created.
The prequel reveals a new side of Riley's story
The series focuses on the work of the team responsible for Riley's dreams when she sleeps. The central characters will be Paula Persimmon (voiced by Paula Pell) and Xeni (Richard Ayoade), who work in a fictional production department. Paula will appear as an experienced producer, while Xeni will be a young and ambitious director with her own vision. The plot promises a humorous look at dream creation and resembles a parody of the film industry.
The creators promise only four episodes
Dream Productions will consist of four episodes, each of which will reveal a new aspect of the workings of the imaginary "movie production" in Riley's head. The authors promise that viewers will see a unique combination of creativity, humor, and family values.
Familiar emotions are back
Favorite characters such as Joy (Amy Poehler), Anger (Lewis Black), and Disgust (Liza Lapira) will reappear in the series. They will work to give Riley not only harmonious development but also vivid dreams. The new trailer shows Joy traveling through the headquarters of emotions in Riley's head, while other emotions appear in the background.
Inside Out 2 introduced new characters such as anxiety, envy, and embarrassment. It became the highest-grossing animated film, earning $1.698 billion. This success motivated Pixar to create new projects, expanding the world of emotions.
In the series, the authors promise to convey the atmosphere of the entertainment industry through the prism of a fictional world created in Riley's head. It will be both a funny and touching story about cooperation, creativity, and the importance of teamwork.
Dream Productions will be released on the Disney+ on December 11 this year. The new trailer is already available on YouTube and gives a glimpse into the world where Riley's most vivid dreams are created.
