One TPP completely destroyed: power outage schedules introduced in a number of Ukraine's regions
On March 30, power outage schedules are in effect in the Kharkiv region. At the same time, all restrictions were lifted in the Odesa region, although the situation remains difficult.
As reported on the websites of energy companies, the situation in the energy sector remains difficult, with most problems in the Kharkiv region.
- Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions: scheduled blackouts canceled
Power companies managed to stabilize the situation in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
- Odesa and the region: no restriction schedules are applied, but the situation is still difficult
Power engineers continue round-the-clock repairs in Odesa. As of now, it is possible to avoid restrictions on electricity consumption. "Ukrenergo's operating equipment cannot meet the needs of Odesa and its region by 100%. Therefore, in case of increased consumption, restrictions may be applied again. Please consume electricity reasonably," DTEK said.
- Kharkiv and the region: restrictions are in effect
The new schedule of hourly power outages will be in effect from April 1 to April 7, 2024, the press service of Kharkivoblenergo reported, "Dear consumers! We ask you to be understanding about unscheduled outages and the inconveniences that may arise in this regard. We have to impose restrictions to maintain the balance in the power system of the region and the country as a whole," the statement reads. The updated schedule is available here.
It also became known that Zmiivska TPP in the Kharkiv region was completely destroyed as a result of a Russian missile strike on March 22. "All units were destroyed and auxiliary equipment was damaged. The degree of damage varies from complete to significant. The company is currently clearing the rubble and has no access to most of the equipment. Therefore, there is no way to assess the extent of the damage,, the exact amount of money needed for the restoration, or any forecasts regarding the time of repairs more accurately," Centrenergo said.
As reported, Russia has once again attacked Ukrainian energy facilities with drones. Emergency power outages have been introduced in Odesa and the region. The schedules are not in effect, and the operation of public electric transport has been suspended. The schedules are applied in Kharkiv and its region for consumers who are already connected to the grid after the previous shelling.
