On Monday, October 7, in the morning, several explosions were heard in Kyiv during an air raid alert. The aggressor country attacked Ukraine with Kinzhal missiles, and later it became known that debris fell in several areas of the city.

This was reported by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Residents of the country were urged not to ignore the reports of danger.

"High-speed flight to Kyiv," the Ukrainian Air Force reported after the air alert was announced.

For his part, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klytschko warned Kyiv residents about the work of the air defense forces.

"Air defense is working in the capital. Stay in shelters! The missile threat continues," Klytschko added.

The specialized Telegram channel monitor, for its part, reminded that in addition to the work of air defense forces, residents of the capital could hear loud sounds from the passage of "Kinzhals" through the Mach cone.

Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klytschko clarified that the debris of enemy missiles fell in several districts of Kyiv.

"The fragments of enemy missiles fell in several districts of the city. In particular: in Solomyanskyi district – in several places in open space. In Shevchenkivskyi district – near a pedestrian crossing. In Holosiivskyi district, in one place on the sidewalk, and in another place, a fragment pierced the roof of a service minibus. All services are on their way to the scene. Information about the victims and the damage is being clarified," Klytschko added.

At 9:52 a.m., the head of the Kyiv City State Administration informed that the fire in Solomyanskyi district, which started in one of the garages on private property as a result of the fall of a piece of debris, was extinguished, and there were no casualties.

"Missile fragments were found near the entrance of an apartment building and in the yard of a private house. In the same Solomyansky district, rocket fragments fell near a supermarket," Klytschko wrote.

The KMMA clarified that in Solomyanskyi district, the fragments damaged the roof of a multi-storey residential building, another fell on the roof of a supermarket, one of the fragments fell on the territory of a school, and the rest fell in an open area.

Also, according to Vitalii Klytschko, three rocket fragments were found on the territory of a kindergarten in the Solomyanskyi district of the capital. In addition, a missile fragment (tail section) was also found in a forest park in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv after the morning attack.

It should be added that on Monday, October 7, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin turns 72, who was issued an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court in The Hague on charges of illegally deporting Ukrainian children during the invasion of Ukraine.
