Nuts with condensed cream filling: an original recipe from Liza Hlinska

Nuts are a dessert we've known since childhood. You can still buy it in stores, and it is considered one of the most popular in various coffee shops. And all thanks to its interesting appearance, ease of consumption, and unsurpassed taste.

Chef Liza Hlinska shared on Instagram how to make nuts at home in two ways. She used condensed cream for the filling, which only improved the taste of the dessert.

Ingredients for dough №1

  • Butter 82% – 180 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Powdered sugar – 110 g
  • Vanilla sugar
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Flour – 340 g

Ingredients for dough № 2

  • Butter 82% – 200 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Powdered sugar – 110 g
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Vanilla sugar
  • Flour – 340 g
  • Almond flour – 30 g

Ingredients for the filling

  • Butter 82% at room temperature – 250 g
  • Condensed boiled milk – 250 g
  • Roasted walnuts – 80 g

Method of preparation

1. Beat the butter with a whisk, it should be at room temperature.

2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix well.

3. Add the eggs at room temperature. Mix again. At this stage, lumps may appear, which may be because you used cold eggs. As soon as we add the flour, the texture will become smooth.

4. Add flour and salt and knead the dough with a silicone spatula. Do not knead for a long time, the flour should be moistened.

5. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 2 hours.

6. Take the dough out of the fridge and form into balls.

7. Heat the walnut pan and put the dough balls into the molds and bake for 2-3 minutes.

8. Remove the halves of the nuts from the mold.

9. Use a sieve to make the edge of the nut nice and smooth.

10. Prepare the filling. Mix butter at room temperature with boiled condensed milk and beat with a mixer. The filling should hold its shape.

11. Put the filling into a pastry bag.

12. Fill the halves with the filling, add the roasted walnuts to one half, and assemble the nuts.

13. Put the nuts in the refrigerator for at least one hour before eating them.
