Nissan's new inexpensive Toyota Camry rival shown in photos for the first time

Nissan is preparing a new inexpensive rival to the Toyota Camry. Interestingly, the company had previously decided to abandon the production of sedans. However, the new Altima 2026 was first shown in a photo.

It is reported by Motor1. Earlier it became known that after 2025 the successor to the Nissan Altima sedan is not planned. This is because of crossovers and electric vehicles that are taking market share away from traditional models.

In this light, the 2026 Nissan Altima prototypes surprised everyone. The cars have already hit the roads of the United States for testing before the premiere. The design, of course, is still being hidden – a camouflage film is glued to the body.

Any manufacturer needs new models, including Nissan. It is surprising that the company decided to bet on a sedan in a difficult situation. It seemed that another crossover would have been a more profitable solution. On the other hand, the company is not abandoning such cars either.
