Nissan unveils a supercharged Skyline Nismo sedan
The Japanese company Nissan has prepared a sporty version of the Skyline sedan for fans of active drive. The novelty will be available in two versions - Skyline Nismo and Nismo Limited.
This is reported by the press service of the manufacturer. According to the creators, the novelty will be more dynamic than the usual sedan, but at the same time no less comfortable. The sports division of the company will be responsible for refining Skyline Nismo.
The main difference of the novelty is hidden under the hood - a modernized 3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine develops a power of 309 kW (420 hp), and torque reaches 550 Nm. The driver can choose between three powertrain modes - Standard, Sport and Sport+.
Externally, the novelty features an exclusive color, aerodynamic dodger with red decor, new 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels with low-profile rubber and signature Nismo emblems. The car received new bumpers, a different grille for better cooling and fog lights. Taking into account the increased speed, Nismo specialists have improved the braking system, installed new stabilizers and reconfigured the suspension.
The cabin gets Recaro "buckets," a sport steering wheel, a red dial tachometer, and leather and suede are used for interior trim.
A total of 1,000 Skyline Nismo units are planned, as well as 100 sedans in the Skyline Nismo Limited version. The latter is distinguished by different gray-colored wheels, a nameplate on the engine with the motorist's autograph, a plaque with the individual number and special logos. The new Skyline Nismo is priced at 7880400 yen ($54692), while the Nismo Limited will cost at least 9479000 yen ($66111).
