Newest Japanese cars may significantly drop in price: what is the reason

The news of the future partnership between Honda and Nissan surprised many, although the latter recently reported that it was seeking help amid inefficient operations. All this could lead to cheaper prices for new Japanese cars.

As OBOZ.UA reminds, Honda and Nissan have already announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding. In fact, they have consolidated cooperation with the prospect of further merger into a larger company.

Against this backdrop, Mitsubishi (which, along with Nissan, is in an alliance with Renault) has also joined the dea, but so far only as an observer. Nevertheless, what is at stake is the creation of the largest holding after Toyota and the VW Group.

It is known that the three Japanese manufacturers will jointly develop new cars based on common platforms and units. This will potentially lead to lower prices for Honda, Nissan, and Mitsubishi to increase competition with other brands.

Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, and Suzuki may also step up efforts in the most popular segments of compact and midsize crossovers, as well as sedans and small hatchbacks. For buyers, this is nothing but an advantage.
