Mykolenko scores second goal in the EFL Championship. Video
Ukrainian defender of Liverpool Everton Vitaliy Mykolenko scored a spectacular goal in the English Championship. The 24-year-old Ukrainian national team player opened the scoring in the match of the 11th round against Brighton.
Vitaliy responded to a pass from the left flank from Dwight McNeil and hit Verbruggen's goal on the second attempt. The goalkeeper turned the first shot into the goal. The ball bounced back to the Ukrainian and he was able to break through the defense the second time. The precise hit resulted in scoring.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the last minutes, the hosts conceded an offensive penalty kick. After an opponent's shot, the ball from Ashley Young followed an incredible trajectory and flew behind Pickford's collar.
For Mykolenko, this is the second goal he has scored in 60 games in an Everton shirt. Our compatriot scored his debut goal in May last year, scoring on the fly against Leicester.
Everton ranks 15th in the EPL standings with 11 points.
