The fight ended early

Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Rafael Alves (21-12) won a spectacular victory over American James Vick (13-6). The fight at the Karate Combat 47 tournament in Orlando (USA) ended in the 1st round.

Initially, Alves was the favorite of the confrontation and demonstrated how he deserved it.

At one point, Alves managed a combination that proved fatal for Vick. The Brazilian kicked his opponent's leg with one foot in a jump and then hit his opponent right in the jaw with his other foot.

The U.S. representative fell unconscious to the floor and needed medical attention.

Karate Combat president Asim Zaidi told MMA Fighting about Vick's condition: "He was knocked out. He was unconscious for a while. We didn't show it on the video, but he had an epileptic seizure. He was taken to an ambulance. They put some tubes on him to help him breathe. It's hard for me to talk about all this."

According to Zaidi, Vic is doing well now. He has fully recovered.

"The wildest thing about all this is what he asked me when he came to. His first question was: "How did this happen?" It turned out that he remembered everything up to the moment of the missed shot. He didn't realize where it came from, and he was like: "Yeah, that's right, I dropped my hands..." I was shocked that he remembered everything. But it was a good sign that he understood and comprehended everything so well. He has already been discharged from the hospital. He is already at home," vringe.com quoted Zaidi as saying.
