May look completely different: new leak shows possible design of the upcoming iPhone 17

Although not much time has passed since the release of iPhone 16, Apple is already actively preparing the next lineup. And the first leaks hint at what it might look like.

According to Gizmo China, citing a user of Digital Chat Station on Chinese Weibo, the design changes may be quite significant. Especially in the back of the smartphone.

The first thing that catches your eye is the change in the orientation of the camera. Judging by the leak, the three lenses will be arranged not in a square block in the corner of the smartphone, but horizontally, as in the new Google Pixel 9. The leaked renders also show an LED flash on the back of the iPhone 17.

In addition, the leak for the iPhone 17 Pro feature a special camera button on the side. However, experts advise not to perceive the images as the final design of Apple's new smartphones. This is a fairly early draft anyway, and it may be changed again in the process.

However, if this leak turns out to be true, this will be the biggest change in iPhone design in recent years. The exact details of the camera setup are not yet clear, but Digitat Chat Station added that Android smartphone manufacturers may also switch to a similar design.
