For some people, a manicure session is a vacation, while for others it's a little stressful because they are unsure of what kind of polish to choose this time. What is it worth flipping through samples on plastic-colored nails and thinking "Should I do a classic nude or experiment with nail art?"
If you're looking for inspiration for your spring mani, pay attention to the trends that came to us from the catwalks of fashion weeks. Classic styles such as French manicure got a modern update with chrome details. The trend for logomania has not yet subsided, ballerina nails are getting longer, and thanks to the clean girl style, short nails are in fashion, ELLE writes. The magazine talked to the famous nail artist Natalie Minerva to find out about all the trends of spring-summer 2024.
Long nails
Simple, minimalist nails will always be in fashion, but the long design remains relevant. At the spring-summer 2024 shows, models flaunted pointed nails encrusted with crystals.
Chrome nails
Everything was chrome in the nail design of the Priscavera brand. Manicurist Sonji prepared 30 chrome looks for the show, from metallic green to bronze-gold and transparent with 3D decorations.
The Name game
Helmut Lang played a "name game" with nail art for Peter Do's runway debut as the new creative director. A simple, clear manicure with the inscription HELMUT LANG in black font refreshes the logomania of previous seasons.
Logomania
If the previous design isn't for you, choose a logo to express your affection for your favorite brand. The famous nail artist Julie Kandalec hand-painted the Kate Spade monogram on the nails and updated the trend for logomania by completing it with a black slim French design.
Skinny French
French manicure in the style of "skinny". A thin line turns this subtle mani into Parisian chic.
Ballerina style
The 'balletcore' style is still on trend, particularly this pink, pearlized chrome version. "Pink pearls are always a refreshing look that combines a nostalgic touch with a new modern classic," says Minerva.
White pearls
If pink is not your favorite color, you can still join the ballet corse trend by going for a pearl white or vanilla chrome look.
Light nude
Michael Kors nail technician Jin Sung Choi focused on nail health and gave the models a subtle nude manicure with light pink polish.
The magic touch
"For Spring/Summer 2024, expect to see a lot of shimmer that evokes a magical feeling, such as brushed chrome, pink glitter, and sheer milky lavender shades," says Minerva.
Classic red
Red varnish is a classic that can often be seen on long nails, but Proenza Schouler reminds us how great this color looks on short, well-groomed nails.
