An Indonesian woman named Farida was eaten by a python as she walked alone through the forest to work. The mother of four was cut out of the snake fully clothed and buried surrounded by her family.

According to the Daily Mail, the horror movie-like incident took place in the Kalumpangu area of Mamuju district on the island of Sulawesi. A mother of many children went to the market where she worked in the morning and was supposed to return in the evening.

However, the woman did not come home, so her husband raised the alarm and went to the forest to search for her. The next day, the locals found a huge python that was apparently digesting the victim.

They decided to cut the snake open and check the contents of its stomach, where they found the woman's body. The python reportedly first bit her and then strangled her. Only then did the snake swallow its victim.

Farida's grief-stricken husband told reporters that he regretted allowing the mother of his children to go to the forest alone. According to him, this would not have happened if he had accompanied his wife.

"If I had been with her that day, the python would not have dared to attack her. I can't even imagine what kind of suffering she had to go through. I feel very sorry for our family," the widower said.

Such incidents are rare, but they are not isolated. According to media reports, this is the fifth person to be eaten by a python in Indonesia since 2017. Local residents were warned not to walk alone and to protect their loved ones from potential danger.
