DTEK Renewables International (DRI), the European renewable energy division of DTEK, headquartered in the Netherlands with offices in Zagreb, Milan, Rome, Warsaw, and Bucharest, plans to achieve 5 GW of renewable capacity on its core markets and expand into new ones by 2030.

This announcement was made by the newly appointed CEO of DRI, Ivan Geliukh, who assumed the position on January 1, 2025, succeeding John Stuart, who led the company for nearly three years.

Under Stuart’s leadership, DRI became a key player in the European renewable energy market. The company’s portfolio of green energy and energy storage projects has reached 1.4 GW, while its team has grown to 100 international experts across six offices.

"I am honored to lead one of DTEK’s most dynamic subsidiaries, which has an ambitious goal of delivering clean electricity across Europe. I would also like to extend my gratitude to John Stuart. Under his leadership, DRI evolved from a startup into a strong business with a promising future", Geliukh said, commenting on his appointment.

In turn, John Stuart noted that, with Geliukh at the helm, DTEK Renewables International has gained "an outstanding leader with a proven track record of growth within DTEK".

"I am confident that Ivan will lead DRI into its next stage of development", said the former CEO of DRI.

Ivan Geliukh began his career at DTEK in 2005. He previously led the operational holding DTEK Grids and co-chaired the coordination group of distribution system operators ECDSO-E.

Since 2022, he has headed D.Trading, DTEK’s pan-European trading division, expanding its operations to 23 countries worldwide.

As of January 2025, Ivan Geliukh serves as the CEO of DRI, the European subsidiary of Ukraine’s energy giant DTEK. The company focuses on developing and implementing projects that accelerate the energy transition in Central and Southeastern Europe.

Currently, DRI operates in Croatia, Italy, Poland, and Romania, developing onshore wind and solar power plants.
