Italian national team footballer staged a riot on the field against his team in a Serie A match. Video
Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca caused a riot in the match of the 26th round of Serie A against Lecce. The 24-year-old Italian national team player decided to take an 11-meter penalty himself and refused to give the ball to the team's regular penalty kicker, Frenchman Florian Thauvin.
All of Lucca's teammates tried to convince him to give up the kick to Thauvin, but Lucca was not going to change his mind, even when he received a direct instruction from head coach Kosta Runjaic. After more than a minute of arguing on the field, Lukka scored.
The forward left no chance for the goalkeeper, making the score 1-0, but none of the partners ran to celebrate the goal. A minute later, the head coach replaced Lorenzo and sent him to the bench.
It's worth noting that this goal was the only one and the winning goal in the match.
