"It was a complete blowout": Joshua's hysteria after the fight with Usyk was explained by the famous Ukrainian super heavyweight, recalling his poor past

Vladislav Syrenko (19-0, 16 KOs), a popular Ukrainian super-bantamweight, WBC Asia and WBO Asia Pacific champion, believes that Anthony Joshua could not withstand the enormous psychological pressure he was under during the preparation and rematch with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. And when he realized that he had lost, he went off the deep end, throwing a tantrum and throwing off Usyk's belts.

Speaking to OBOZREVATEL, Sirenko noted that the wrong people were around the Briton, which became apparent after the fight with Usyk.

"When they are preparing for such fights, fighters have a huge amount of work to do, both physically and psychologically. Both Joshua and Usyk were under tremendous psychological pressure. And you could see that after the fight Joshua just couldn't take it, he was completely torn up there, in the full program," said Vladyslav.

And when Anthony couldn't contain himself, his poor past came out.

"Recently, my friends and I were discussing boxing in general, and I'll tell you, it's a sport for poor people. The rich, the sons of sheikhs, etc. do not come to boxing. Every successful boxer comes from a difficult life situation. Joshua is no exception. The way we see him now is also thanks to boxing. Because he was able to see a lot and come to a lot both psychologically and in human moments," the heavyweight believes.

"That's what's great about boxing is that it brings out the right person in you. But at that moment, after the result was announced, Joshua's poor past came out a little bit. To be honest, I didn't even listen to what he was saying because it was so unpleasant. He was also a "monster" for me physically and psychologically, such a powerful athlete. And then he broke down, and I didn't even look, I didn't want to be upset. But it happens, we are all human," said Sirenko.

According to the Ukrainian heavyweight, the story with Joshua showed that he has very wrong people around him.

"This is my subjective opinion. But in such a situation, there should have been someone who could have helped him, brought him back to himself. But, in my opinion, he was surrounded by people who were just making money with Joshua. There was no clear leader in the team. Anthony was the clear leader, he told everyone what to do. And this is not always right and does not always lead to something good. That's the proof," Sirenko summarized.

Earlier, Sirenko told OBOZREVATEL what Joshua's plan could have brought him an early victory. And also what scheme could have been played out in the rematch to save the Briton and Hearn's money.

We would like to remind you that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua by a split decision. Our compatriot defended the belts according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), the World Boxing Association (WBA) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF), and also won the Ring Magazine title. This made him the strongest boxer on the planet regardless of weight category.

One of the scandalous moments of the fight was the refereeing. American Glenn Feldman gave the victory to Joshua, but could not explain his decision. The work of the US representative angered Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs). Our boxer tried to calm Joshua down after the fight.

Also, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn explained the behavior of his ward, who threw a tantrum in the ring after the result of the fight with Usyk was announced.

Joshua's trainer Robert Garcia spoke frankly about his ward's defeat. In addition, the legendary Evander Holyfield explained Anthony's loss. Usyk himself showed off photos of his return to Ukraine.
