On August 26, the aggressor country of Russia once again attacked the Kyiv region with the help of kamikaze drones. Unfortunately, infrastructure facilities were damaged and one person was wounded.

This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko, the KRMA press service reports. Residents of the region were urged not to ignore the air raid alert.

"The enemy has been attacking the region with missiles and attack drones all night and morning. There is damage to infrastructure facilities. We already have information about a wounded person. He has been taken to one of the district medical institutions and is receiving the necessary assistance. We also record damage to private houses as a result of falling debris from downed enemy targets in 4 districts. More details later," said Kravchenko.

The head of the KRMA added that by order of Ukrenergo, emergency power outages were introduced in the Kyiv region. The districts and communities were instructed to promptly launch "points of invincibility" so that people could recharge their phones.

For its part, the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that pre-trial investigations into the violation of the laws and customs of war have been launched.

"According to the investigation, on August 26, the Russian armed forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv region. The enemy targeted critical infrastructure facilities in the region. In one of the districts of the region, a woman was injured as a result of the enemy attack. Residential buildings, outbuildings, and a vehicle were damaged," the prosecutor's office added.

The Kyiv regional police reported that 22 private houses were damaged and one house was destroyed as a result of the Russian attack. In addition, two cars, a garage, an outbuilding, and a fence were damaged. A grass flooring also caught fire.

"Three people were injured, including a five-month-old child," the police said.

Later, KRMA added that a woman born in 1965 was injured in the attack and taken to hospital with shrapnel wounds. A woman born in 1984 with a five-month-old child was also injured. Preliminary, the mother has a head injury. The baby fell out of the stroller and suffered a scratched thigh. In addition, two power facilities were damaged in the Kyiv region.
