In the 30th minute, the Italians were losing 0-1 but managed to play a great combination. Sandro Tonali sent a pass into the penalty area with his heel and the Inter player touched the round ball into the net.
In the second half, Fratesi and Raspadori made the final score 3-1. This was the first away victory for the Italians over the French in 70 years. The last time the Azzurri won in France was in 1954.
Dimarko himself, commenting on this success in an interview with RAI Sport, admitted that this victory was needed to boost the morale of the national team, especially after Euro 2024.
