This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on his Telegram channel. The park will be located on Borychiv Tik Street.

The Mayor of Kyiv reminded that in 2023, the world celebrated the 125th anniversary of Golda Meir. At the end of last year, the Kyiv City Council named one of the capital's public gardens after her - it was created in Podil, on Borychiv Tik Street.

It was a plot of land once allocated to the embassy of the Russian aggressor country. In 2014, the Kyiv City Council returned this land to municipal ownership. And last year, it granted the site the status of a public garden. The city will equip the park with the help of Ukrainian and international charitable foundations.

"And yesterday, a film depicting Golda Meir's leadership role during the Yom Kippur War, a critical period when the existence of the state of Israel was at stake, was released in Ukraine. The movie 'Golda Meir' was globally released last year, commemorating the 125th anniversary of this outstanding international figure. After watching this movie, I observed many parallels with today's events, as the Ukrainian state is also fighting for its existence," Klitschko emphasized.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, during its meeting, the Kyiv City Council decided to rename one of the streets in the Darnytskyi district in honor of a veteran of the war against Russian aggression, co-founder of the NGO Res_Publika, "Brothers in Arms," poet, and public figure Hlib Babych.
