Usyk can hold a trilogy with Joshua

Former world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) has expressed his readiness to fight Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) for the third time. Our compatriot noted that he still owes the British boxer for two fights that took place in 2021-2022.

Usyk said this in an interview with the Mail Sport Boxing YouTube channel. According to the Ukrainian heavyweight, he is confident in his victory over Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) in the rematch and Joshua's triumph in the fight against Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs), after which the promoters will want a trilogy of Oleksandr and Anthony.

"I don't really want any rematches... But when we beat Tyson Fury for the second time and when Anthony Joshua beats Daniel Dubois, they will certainly want to make a third fight. And in my opinion, I have no right to deny Anthony Joshua a third fight. Because he gave me two incredible fights. He helped me become even more famous in the world. Anthony did that. And if that happens, I'm ready for a third fight with him," Usyk said.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian defeated the Briton in 2021 by unanimous decision, and a year later by split decision. On May 18, Usyk beat Tyson Fury, with whom he will have a second fight. Joshua and Du Bois will fight on September 21 for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt, which our boxer was forced to give up.

Later it became known that the IBF left Usyk no choice. This situation angered the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White. The Ukrainian himself commented on his decision for the first time. Fury and Usyk will rematch on December 21. The fantastic prize money for the second fight is already known.

Our compatriot shared his expectations from the second fight with Tyson and responded to the accusations of cheating during the fight with Fury on May 18. In addition, Oleksandr commented on the injury he received in the fight.

The Ukrainian announced his radical plan to continue his career after the rematch with Tyson. Usyk named the most difficult moment of the fight with the Briton. Our boxer also spoke frankly about his opponent.
