Hryhoriy Kozlovskiy: Ukrainian swimming pool recognized as the best in the world for the first time in history
For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, one of the swimming pools built in our country received the prestigious PHTA International Awards of Excellence Winners 2023. The swimming pool of the Emily Resort in Lviv, founded by a well-known Lviv businessman and patron of sports and recreation, won in the category "Competition Pools".
Kozlovsky commented on the honorary award. The philanthropist emphasized that such prestigious international awards are a reason for pride for Ukraine in this difficult time.
Emily Resort had to compete with hundreds of worthy and powerful competitors in the competition for one of the largest and most renowned design awards in the pool, spa and water features industry.
"We received many more entries than last year, and all of them were of the highest caliber," said Sabina Hickman, CAE, President and CEO of PHTA.
However, Ukraine's nominee for the award had a lot to back up its bid for victory.
The size of the Emily Wellness & SPA sports pool is 25x16 meters. The depth is from 1.2 m to 1.8 m. The water in it is heated to a temperature of 26-28°. The winning pool was built using the latest technology and framed by wide panoramic windows. And this is not the only pool at the Emily Resort sports and recreation complex.
Hryhoriy Kozlovsky emphasized that receiving such a prestigious international award is a source of pride for Ukraine in this difficult time.
"We are proud to receive this award at such a difficult time for Ukraine. I am proud that we Ukrainians are the best in everything, even in such a business as pool design. Ukrainians are not only a strong but also a creative nation. Emily Resort is a unique place where we have combined Ukrainian nature, modern design solutions and sports," commented Grigory Kozlovsky.
The modern multifunctional complex for recreation, sports and health improvement for people of all ages and all year round consists of four spacious swimming pools for children and adults, with swimming lanes, a children's water park, a spa center and an outdoor jacuzzi on the terrace.
The complex is also combined with the sports base of FC Rukh, where young football players are trained and various competitions are held. In particular, the members of the Ukrainian team that represented our country at the Invictus Games, an international sports competition for military personnel and veterans who were injured in the line of duty, trained there.
However, the complex's involvement in helping our defenders is not limited to this.
With the support of the founder of FC Rukh and Emily Resort, Hryhorii Kozlovskyi, the project "Above All" is running, which aims to treat and rehabilitate wounded Ukrainian military and civilians. The resources of the club and its founder guarantee a high level of service and assistance that our wounded soldiers need. The Emily complex and the Rukh Academy have everything necessary for the rehabilitation of the wounded.
So far, 54 Ukrainians have received specialist help, and 37 of them have undergone treatment and rehabilitation at the Rukh Academy.
Grigory Kozlovsky has been helping Ukrainian soldiers since the first day of the war. The philanthropist is convinced that now it is necessary to direct all efforts to help our soldiers get back on their feet. And Emily Resort is a great place for them to recover their health and undergo rehabilitation.
