Zamioculcas is one of the most popular indoor plants. And all thanks to its unpretentiousness to the conditions of detention. However, even this spectacular succulent can slow down its growth and demonstrate the need for fertilization.

The Deccoria publication told us about a vitamin conditioner that will become a real boost of energy for zamioculcas. It will help the plant form new leaves and restore the growth of young shoots.

Why zamioculcas slows down growth

Your favorite succulent can stop growing for several reasons. Here are the main ones:

  • too large a pot – zamioculcas can stop growing if it is transplanted into a container that is too spacious, in which case it will direct all its energy to growing tubers and roots;
  • too small a pot  – a cramped container, on the contrary, inhibits the development of the root system, which affects the crown;
  • transplanting – after transferring to a new substrate, zamioculcas will take some time to adapt to new conditions and put the main effort into rooting in fresh soil;
  • inappropriate watering – both lack of water and its excess can lead to the suspension of zamioculcas growth;
  • lack of light – although it is said that zamioculcas can grow almost in complete darkness, in fact, it still needs light for healthy and intensive growth;
  • inadequate fertilization – zamioculcas does not produce new leaves if it grows in a depleted substrate, it needs nutrients to resume growth;
  • rest – in autumn and winter, zamioculcas naturally slows down its growth rate, this should not be a cause for concern.

How to stimulate the growth of zamioculcas?

If you've been taking care of the plant with mistakes, you can restore its growth by simply adjusting watering, nutrition, or repotting it correctly. However, even in this case, your zamioculcas will not refuse a portion of vitamin water, which will give it additional energy.

To prepare this water, you will need 1 medium-sized pomegranate. Remove all the seeds from it, put them in a spacious container, and cover them with 1 liter of water. Let them steep for 3 hours and strain the liquid. Water the zamioculcas with this infusion every two weeks. The concentration of vitamins and nutrients in such water should be sufficient for the plant to resume intensive growth.
