How to clean the shower head from limescale: life hack
Do you know the situation when you buy a new shower head, and after a few months it starts to work poorly - it leaks and leaks poorly? Usually, this trouble is caused by limescale that collects inside the part - it not only makes cleaning difficult, but also disrupts the operation of some devices.

It is often recommended to use white vinegar in this situation. The acid in its composition really softens deposits and makes them easy to wash off. But experts point out two drawbacks of this method. Firstly, it takes a long time, and secondly, vinegar has a rather specific odor. Citric acid will do the job faster. It can also be easily purchased at any grocery store.
Since it is quite strong, before cleaning, test it on an inconspicuous area of the nozzle to see if it causes darkening or destruction of the coating or stains. If everything is fine, proceed with the cleaning process. However, don't forget to wear protective gloves.
If the design of your shower allows you to unscrew the head, remove it and soak it in an acid solution. To do this, fill a basin with hot water (not boiling water) and dissolve two tablespoons of the product in it. After 10-15 minutes (depending on the degree of contamination), rinse the head under running water, screw it back on and run a strong stream of water through it to rinse everything inside. Your shower is ready to use again.
But it happens that the nozzle does not come off. In this case, take a sturdy bag, fill it with a hot citric acid solution, and secure it to the head with a hair band. After 10-15 minutes, rinse the watering can with water.
