Bograch is a delicious, thick meat soup with vegetables and paprika, one of the symbols of Hungarian cuisine. The dish is very simple to prepare, even easier than any soup.

The cook shared a recipe for a delicious bograch with meat and vegetables on Instagram, which is very easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • Beef - 700g
  • Lard - 100 g
  • Potatoes - 400 g
  • Onions - 1 pc.
  • Carrots - 1 pc.
  • Bell peppers - 1 pc.
  • Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
  • Garlic - 2 pcs.
  • Tomato paste - 1 tbsp. 
  • Ground paprika - 1 tsp.
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp.
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Water.

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the meat, dry and cut into small pieces. Finely chop the lard.

2. Cut the potatoes and carrots into small pieces, dice the onion. Cut the bell pepper into small strips. Make a crosswise cut in the tomatoes, pour boiling water over them, peel off the skin and cut into cubes. Chop the garlic.

3. Put the lard in a saucepan and fry the onion and garlic until soft. Add the meat to the pot and sprinkle with spices. Mix well over high heat, let the meat set, then reduce the heat.

4. Add bell pepper, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, salt and pepper. At this stage, adjust the amount of water to the desired thickness.

5. Add the tomato paste and bring the bograch to a boil, then cook, covered, for 30 minutes.
