Mykola Lykhovydov, the world's oldest professional footballer, scored his first goal in professional football. On September 1, the player of the president of the Odesa club Real Farms opened the scoring in the 9th minute of the home game of the Ukrainian Second League Championship against Niva-2 (2:1).
For 58-year-old Lykhovydov, this was his 187th professional match and 14th season in the Second League. Mykola played all his games for Real Farma.
Lykhovydov made his professional sports debut in the 2011/2012 season at the age of 45 in a match against Prykarpattia (Ivano-Frankivsk). The aged midfielder played the first half, after which he was replaced. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
It should be noted that before that, Kazuyoshi Miura was the oldest footballer in the world. The 57-year-old Japanese striker was represented by Athletico Suzuka. His career spans more than four decades.
