Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhiy Rebrov expressed confidence that his team should have taken a penalty in the decisive match of the European Championship qualifying tournament against Italy, won the match and went on to win the championship directly. The Blue and Yellows coach noted that this situation once again proved the absurdity of talking about favorites in football.

"We played Italy, and they were the favorites. And in the last minute, we had to shoot a penalty and win the game. I think it was a good game on our part. VAR took responsibility for the penalty, but I believe that in such crucial moments the referee should review the replay. He should have at least minimally reviewed this moment, because this episode decided our fate. In my opinion, there was a penalty," Rebrov said.
