"He can cancel him": sensational world champion explains Usyk's advantage over Fury
Interim World Boxing Organization (WBO) champion Zhang Zhilei (26-1-1, 21 KOs) named Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) as the likely winner of the fight with Tyson Fury (34-01, 24 KOs). The 40-year-old Chinese super-heavyweight, who sensationally knocked out British Joe Joyce (15-2, 14 KOs) twice last year, emphasized that the Ukrainian will be favored by his superior technical skills.
Zhilei expressed this opinion in a commentary to the Boxing Scene portal. The Big Bang, as the Chinese is called, also added that Fury should be as prepared as possible for the fight against our champion, otherwise he will face even more serious problems than in the fight with Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs).
"I don't know who will win. Anything can happen. I'm not sure this fight will take place because if one of them feels out of sorts, they can cancel it. The fight against Ngannou should wake up Tysonma Fury: He needs to train hard and focus on the gym. If he prepares the same way as he did for Ngannou, he's going to be in a lot of trouble and in a lot of danger. Right now, I'm leaning towards Usyk winning this fight because I believe that skills pay off and dedication is the key to winning in boxing," Zhilei said.
It should be noted that the WBO has named the Chinese as a mandatory contender for the fight against the winner of the Usyk-Fury fight. Earlier, former welterweight world champion Shawn Porter expressed confidence that the confrontation between the Ukrainian and the Briton would not take place on February 17.
Recently, Fury recorded a formidable video of Usyk with one of his training sessions. Former world champion Anthony Joshua (27-3, 23 KOs) gave his unequivocal prediction for the fight between Oleksandr and Tyson, and explained why our compatriot will win. And in Russia, they told us how the Ukrainian's move to the super-heavyweight division affected the division.
In addition, a Ukrainian boxer alarmed British fans with his training. And the sex symbol of world boxing, Australian Abani Bridges, made a categorical prediction about the confrontation between the Ukrainian and the British.
Frank Warren, Fury's promoter, does not consider the fight with Usyk to be the most difficult in his client's career. In turn, Eddie Hearn expressed hope for the British victory. And former world champion Carl Froch dramatically changed his forecast for the fight on February 17.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the absolute heavyweight champion of the world (1992) Riddick Bowe called the round in which the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will end. And the bookmakers have changed their quotes for the fight again.
