The last weekend of February gives us a chance to officially say goodbye not only to winter, but also to its last movie premieres. Among the films currently screening in Ukrainian cinemas are romantic comedies, action and detective movies, biopics, and psychological dramas.

Anyone But You

Genre: comedy, romance

The plot centers on Bea (Sidney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell), who had a great first date. However, their passion quickly turned into hatred for each other. Ironically, they unexpectedly meet at a friend's wedding in Australia and make an adult decision to pretend to be a couple.

Argylle

Genre: detective, action

Writer Ellie Conway has become famous for her spy novels, which continue to gain popularity. Although the author tries to leave the walls of her own home as little as possible, she has to go on a train trip. On the way, the unexpected happens: Conway is rescued by a real spy named Aidan and brought to a secret base. This is because the plots of the writer's novels are increasingly reminiscent of real events unfolding in the secret world.

Miller's Girl

Genre: psychological drama

The film centers on the unraveling of a complex relationship between teacher Jonathan Miller (Sherlock star Martin Freeman) and his talented student Cairo Sweet (Jenna Ortega, who played the lead in the TV series Wednesday). When a writing assignment leads to an uncomfortable reality, the characters realize that they have crossed the boundaries of academic interaction. The film tells the story of the inexorable attraction between a mature man and a young girl who become both heroes and villains in their own stories, and the painful maturation through frankness and vulnerability.

Madame Web

Genre: fantasy action

Cassie Web is a New York City paramedic who saves lives every day. During one of the accidents, the heroine tried to get the injured in an accident out of a wrecked car that suddenly fell off a bridge. Having miraculously survived, Web began to be haunted by visions. Later, Cassie discovered that she could see the future. Now she has to save three strangers who are being hunted by a mysterious thief.

Bob Marley: One love

Genre: biopic

A biographical story about the life and music of an icon. Bob Marley inspired generations with his calls for love and unity. For the first time on the big screen, the ups and downs of the legendary artist who gave the world revolutionary music.

Dune: Part Two

Genre: science fiction, action

The movie will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he teams up with Chani and the Freemans during the war to take revenge on the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the universe, he tries to prevent a terrifying future.

Golda

Genre: biography, drama, history

The biographical drama tells the story of the Yom Kippur War when Israel was attacked by the armies of Egypt and Syria. The key figure in the armed conflict was the then Prime Minister Golda Meir, one of the founders of Israel. If the state had been defeated, it would have led to the destruction of the country.
