Ukraine's forward Artem Dovbyk has been named the best player of December in the Spanish football championship. Our compatriot had a phenomenal last part of 2024 and helped Girona stay at the top of the Primera Division standings along with Real Madrid with his effective actions.
This is stated on the official website of the Spanish championship. It was recalled that Artem managed to score four goals against Alaves (twice), Barcelona and Betis. Dovbyk scored from the field twice and made shots from the 11-meter mark twice as well.
In the voting for the best player of the month, the Ukrainian striker was ahead of Borja Mayoral (Getafe), Alvaro Valles (Las Palmas), Rodrigo (Real Madrid), and Inaki Williams (Athletic Bilbao). Dovbyk became the first Ukrainian in the history of the Spanish league to receive this award.

It should be noted that the Girona forward has already scored in the first match of the new year. Dovbyk made an assist in the match against Atletico, taking part in the Catalans' incredible 4-3 victory over Madrid.
