Players no longer want to play in the country

The Brazilian players of Dnipro-1 do not want to return to Ukraine because of the recent massive shelling of Dnipro, Fcdnipro.com reports. According to media reports, central midfielder Vitinho, striker Marcos Andre, and right back Guilherme Varjao refused to play in our country after the incident.

On February 13, a nighttime drone attack in Dnipro left about 400 homes without heating. 224 of them are serviced by utility companies. Another 100 buildings left without heat are managed by condominiums and housing cooperatives. 50 are serviced by private companies.

Marcos Andre, 20, was loaned from Brazilian club Retro for a year with an option to buy. He managed to play only two matches for the Dnipro club, playing a total of 25 minutes.

The 19-year-old Vitinho is another loan player. The rights to the player belong to Atlético Mineiro. The contract is valid until June 30, 2024. Vitinho played 8 matches for Dnipro-1.

The 20-year-old Varjao has signed a full contract with Dnipro-1's youth team. The footballer played 29 games.

On January 18, Vitinho and Andre left Dnipro for Turkey with the club for a training camp.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, due to the night shelling on February 13, one of the thermal power plants in Dnipropetrovs'k region stopped producing electricity. After that, the mayor of Dnipro decided to evacuate one of the hospitals, drain the heating system, and take out a large number of palliative care patients.
