Fire at a power substation in Bryansk

On the night of April 16, 2024, a fire broke out at a power substation in the Russian city of Bryansk. This led to a power outage at several military and industrial facilities in Russia.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. It is emphasized that a 110 kW transformer was damaged.

As a result, the following units were left without power supply:

  • military unit No. 33149 (29th separate railway brigade);
  • 111th military plant (machine-building enterprise);
  • 192nd Central Military Plant (supplier of railway equipment).

These facilities were used by the enemy during the genocidal war against Ukraine.

The intelligence emphasized that the occupants will be punished for every war crime committed against Ukraine.

As a reminder, on April 15, the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized 920 occupants and nine enemy tanks. In total, the invaders lost 103 pieces of military equipment and weapons the day before, including 6 artillery systems (11,609 in total), 13 armored combat vehicles (13,809) and air defense systems (759) of the occupation army.
