Fellow Ukrainian took his place: Lomachenko excluded from another world ranking

Lomachenko excluded from WBO rankings

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) has removed former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) from its rankings. In January, the Ukrainian was on the first line of the list. Now his name is not listed in the updated version.

This is stated on the official WBO website. The organization took such a measure against Lomachenko because of his upcoming fight against George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) title, which will take place in Perth, Australia, on May 12.

The World Boxing Association (WBA) and the World Boxing Union (WBC) did the same thing.

At the same time, another representative of Ukraine, Denis Berinchyk (18-0, 9 KOs), is now on the first line of the WBO rankings. The 35-year-old native of Sorokyne will soon fight for the organization's championship belt against Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1, 31 KOs) from Mexico.

The fight between the Ukrainian and Cambosos was supposed to take place in the summer of 2022 but the Ukrainian refused because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
