The return leg of the playoffs in Austria ended in a draw

Dynamo Kyiv failed to defeat Salzburg Austria in the Champions League playoffs and advance to the group stage of the tournament. The match at the Red Bull Arena ended with a score of 1:1. The Kyiv club lost the first meeting 0:2. As a result of the two-match confrontation, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's wards flew out of the group stage of the Europa League.

Dynamo started the match very actively, storming Janis Blaswich's goal from the first seconds. After sharp passes, the Ukrainians tried to escalate the situation several times, but it never came to shots on target.

Instead, carried away by the attack, the guests missed a counterattack, which was effectively closed by Adam Daghim. The 18-year-old Salzburg striker received a pass on the flank, moved to the center and opened the scoring with a well-aimed long-range shot.

After the conceded goal, Dynamo's attacking fervor faded noticeably. The game was played on an even keel, with the Austrian players having more chances to score.

Despite this, Taras Mykhavko brought Vladyslav Vanat into the striking position with a magnificent long pass and the 22-year-old striker of the Ukrainian national team restored the balance with a brilliant shot.

The White and Blues gave their opponents a lot of space, especially in the immediate vicinity of their goal, which led to dangerous situations over and over again.

In the second half, the hosts played vigorously, not allowing Kyiv to create any dangerous situations, occasionally threatening Bushchan's goal. One of these moments almost resulted in a second goal for Heorhiy.

Last season, Dynamo reached the Conference League qualifiers, where they defeated Aris in the 3rd round but lost to Turkish side Besiktas in the playoffs and dropped out of the European competition.
