Cynologist named two dog breeds with the worst behavior
Will Atherton, a British behaviorist, named two breeds of dogs with the worst behavior. He noted that they are the most difficult for him to work with.
Since he specializes in working with dogs whose behavior needs to be corrected, he distinguishes two breeds - Cocker Spaniel and Cane Corso. The dog handler talks about this in a video on his page on the social network TikTok.
"I see the same breeds appearing over and over again, demonstrating the same types of negative behavior," he says.
According to the expert, there are two mischievous breeds that many pet owners buy for the wrong reasons.
The first on his list are cocker spaniels. Originally bred as hunting dogs, their natural instincts mean they are extremely active, so they enjoy regular walks, running, and active play rather than lazing around at home.
"Pet owners bring in this dog whose main natural task is to work and be active all day and expect it to be a dog for lying around and Instagramming," Will explained. This is why behavioral problems appear - Cocker Spaniels require active involvement of their owners, so they bark constantly and behave like brats.
The second dog with the worst behavior is the Cane Corso, an Italian mastiff that was originally bred for protection.
"But again, people get them for the wrong reason, without the time, dedication, or experience needed to make sure they don't have the bad reputation of being aggressively reactive dogs," the dog handler says.
However, it's worth remembering that the worst behavior is in dogs that are not trained. And it doesn't always depend on the breed.
As a reminder, Will Atherton named the breeds of dogs that are "almost impossible" to train and those that treat children very badly.
