"Christmas with reindeer": Fury makes categorical statement about fight with Usyk

The owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt, Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), has expressed his readiness to fight Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) this year. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is known, confirmed that the contract for the fight against the Ukrainian for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion was signed on December 23.
He said this in an interview with Sky Sports. The British boxer added that he is not bothered by the need to enter the ring twice within two months, as Tyson will fight against former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Francis Ngannou on October 28.
"We have signed the contracts. It says December 23, doesn't it? That is eight weeks, if we count from the next Saturday. Why not? I haven't fought this year, so to get two fights before the end of the year would be fantastic. Double the pay. There's going to be a nice big turkey at Fury's house this Christmas. I won't be back in the UK until Christmas Eve, and if we have a flight delay, I'll spend Christmas with the reindeer at the airport," Fury said.
Earlier, Tyson said he was not interested in the title of absolute world champion. He also issued an ultimatum to Usyk about the upcoming fight, threatening to take him to court. Prior to that, Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) revealed sensational details of Oleksandr 's fight against Tyson. In addition, the Briton gave his forecast for the historic confrontation between the Ukrainian and his compatriot.
Meanwhile, Fury's manager Spencer Brown spoke about the secret conversation between Tyson and Alexander. The Ukrainian himself commented on the fight against the Briton in an original way, calling his opponent an avatar and questioning one of the terms of the deal.
Oleksandr called Tyson a "pot-bellied handsome man" and sent him his regards. The Ukrainian boxer also spoke about the imminent end of his career. And promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk named the condition under which the fight with Fury could be canceled.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, former world champion in two weight categories Timothy Bradley revealed a detail that will make Tyson Fury helpless in a confrontation with Oleksandr Usyk. The Briton himself addressed his rival in one word, answering questions from Ukrainian journalists.
