The morning in Belgorod and the region began alarmingly. A "missile threat" was announced in the region from 07:11 to 07:25 Kyiv time. A few minutes before the alert ended, local channels began reporting "loud noises" over Belgorod and that a "column of smoke" was rising over the city.

A little later, videos of the hits and their consequences began to appear online. In particular, a car was on fire on a street in Belgorod.

According to the data announced by the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, by 08:30 Kyiv time, various damages were found in 23 apartments of seven apartment buildings.

"A hit to the territory of the school stadium was recorded, there is damage to the treadmills, and 2 windows in the school building were slightly damaged. Information on the number of damaged cars is being clarified," Gladkov said.

In addition, according to him, "in Belgorod region, damage was recorded in several apartments of one apartment building, 5 private residential buildings and two shopping center buildings. 8 cars were also damaged".

In addition, Gladkov reported two injuries.

"One man has a bruised chest and a closed fracture of several ribs, an ambulance team took him to Belgorod City Hospital 2. All necessary medical care is being provided. The second man's face was cut by glass shards. The medical team is on the way to the victim," he said.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry boasted of "destroying" all MLRS missiles in the air.

"At about 08.15 Moscow time (07:15 Kyiv time - Ed.), an attempt by the Kyiv regime to launch a terrorist attack on targets in the Russian Federation using the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system was stopped. Air defense systems on duty shot down seven missiles in the air over the Belgorod region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Meanwhile, residents of Belgorod continue to post photos of the aftermath of the "foiled attack" and complain that the entrances equipped with special devices for remote opening during a missile threat did not open today during the air alert.

"People were unable to hide in their homes," Belgorod residents complain.

The day before, on March 14, there were also complaints of explosions in the Russian city of Belgorod. Smoke rose into the sky near the train station.

On the same day, Russian volunteers from the Freedom of Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps called on civilians in the Belgorod region to evacuate to save their lives. The Russian volunteers promised to destroy military facilities in a number of settlements in the region.
